Veltrixair Industries works as an independent inspection authority for overhead, gantry, jib and self-standing cranes across the Kingdom. We issue SASO-conformant statutory certificates, ISO 9927 thorough examinations, and 125% SWL load test reports. The certificate is what we deliver, and it's what keeps a crane legally operating under KSA regulation.
Four cycles. Veltrixair Industries delivers two
KSA regulation sets a four-tier inspection calendar for every overhead crane. Two of those cycles sit with the operator and their own trained staff. The other two — periodic statutory inspection and thorough examination — must come from an independent inspection authority. That's the role Veltrixair Industries fills.
Pre-Use Inspection
Operator-level visual check before each shift. Hook, controls, limit switches, brakes — verified and logged.
Monthly Frequent Inspection
Hands-on verification by trained maintenance personnel — wire rope, brakes, hooks, electrical.
Annual Statutory Inspection
SASO-conformant statutory inspection by independent inspector. Certificate issued for the regulatory cycle.
Thorough Examination
Deep-inspection per ISO 9927 with NDT, electrical insulation testing, and full structural review.

Every Veltrixair Industries inspection follows the same structured checklist, matched to the crane's manufacturer specification, duty class and operating environment. The list below is included as standard in every periodic statutory inspection, biennial thorough examination, and standalone load test.
Visual & dimensional structural examination
Bridge girders, end carriages, runway beams, support columns and bracing — visual inspection plus dimensional verification of critical wear surfaces against OEM tolerance.
Welded connection inspection
Visual examination of all critical welds with NDT (magnetic particle or ultrasonic) on identified high-stress locations — calibrated to ISO 9927 and AWS D1.1 weld inspection criteria.
Hook NDT — magnetic particle & dimensional
Magnetic particle inspection of hook throat and shank, dimensional verification against OEM-stated discard limits, and serial-number verification against asset register.
Wire rope inspection per ISO 4309
Length-by-length inspection for broken wires, wear, corrosion, kinks and birdcaging — with discard determination per ISO 4309 criteria and remaining-life estimate where applicable.
Brake system inspection & testing
Hoist, bridge and trolley brake inspection — pad thickness, drum/disc condition, hydraulic system integrity, and operational testing under no-load and load conditions.
Limit switch & safety device verification
Upper hoist, lower hoist, end-of-travel, anti-collision and overload protection — each switch verified for correct trip-point and safe-state response.
Electrical insulation & continuity testing
Megger insulation resistance test on motor windings and control circuits, earth continuity verification, and panel inspection for thermal degradation or arc damage.
No-load functional testing
All motions exercised through full travel — hoisting, bridge, trolley, slewing where applicable — with brake response, limit switch trip and motor current behaviour observed.
Static load test at 100% SWL
Calibrated test weight applied at rated capacity, suspended for prescribed dwell time, with structural deflection measured and brake holding verified.
Static & dynamic test at 125% SWL
Overload test at 125% of safe working load — static dwell followed by full-motion dynamic test where required by ISO 9927 or commissioning protocol.
Overload protection device verification
Load-limiter calibration check at OEM-stated trip threshold, with pre-trip warning and trip-point response verified — calibration certificate retained for the asset record.
Documentation review & certificate issue
Asset register reconciliation, capacity-plate verification, prior inspection report comparison, defect register update, and SASO-conformant certificate issued under inspector signature.

Veltrixair Industries runs every inspection through the same five-phase process. We document the work at each step. A named inspector signs the certificate, and every finding is logged so it carries forward to the next inspection.
Pre-Inspection Documentation Review
- OEM specification, capacity plate verification, asset register reconciliation
- Prior inspection reports reviewed for trend and recurring findings
- Modification history checked — any structural alterations require recertification
- Defect register from prior cycle reviewed for closeout status
- Operational log reviewed for incidents, overloads or unusual events
Visual & Dimensional Examination
- Structural inspection — girders, runway, columns, bracing, hook

Functional Testing — No-Load

- Insulation resistance and earth continuity test results recorded
Load Testing — 100% / 125% SWL
- Calibrated test weights mobilised, rigging verified before lift
- Static test at 100% SWL with dwell time per ISO 9927 protocol
- Static + dynamic test at 125% SWL where required by cycle or commissioning
- Structural deflection measured at no-load, 100% and 125% conditions

Statutory inspection has to satisfy both KSA regulation and international engineering standards. Every Veltrixair Industries inspection is delivered, documented and certified against the standards listed below, and we keep the reports and calibration records for the full required record-keeping period.
The independent inspector that doesn't keep you waiting
Being a trusted inspector depends on independence — the same company can't inspect and maintain the same crane. Veltrixair Industries keeps that separation clear with a dedicated inspector pool, its own test fleet, and its own credential records, kept apart from our maintenance and installation teams.
Regulatory firewall preserved between maintenance and inspection
Veltrixair Industries might maintain one crane at a site and independently inspect a different crane at the same site — but never both roles on the same crane. Our inspectors work separately, with their own credentials and reporting line. This keeps us in line with what the regulator expects from an independent inspector.
Saudi-based inspectors, no foreign mobilization delays
Our inspectors live in the Kingdom, so there are no visa delays and no cancelled inspections because someone couldn't get back in time from abroad. Annual and biennial inspections happen on schedule, without surprises.
Owned and calibrated, not rented at short notice
Veltrixair Industries owns its own test weights, from 1 tonne to 250 tonnes, all with up-to-date calibration certificates from a SASO-recognised authority. We don't rent them from third parties, so there's no risk of an expired certificate or a missing weight on inspection day.
Multi-year inspection trend data per asset
Every crane's inspection history is kept in our system, year after year. That history shapes the next inspection — recurring issues get escalated, fixed issues get verified, and the full record travels with the crane even if it changes owners.
The certificate pack
An inspection ends with four documents. Together, they prove the crane is cleared to operate, record exactly what was tested, and create a paper trail that holds up to regulatory scrutiny years later. Every Veltrixair Industries inspection delivers all four.
Inspection Certificate
SASO-conformant certificate signed by named inspector with credential reference. Valid for the regulated cycle period — the document the regulator and the insurer require.
Defect Register
Itemised list of findings classified as immediate / corrective / monitoring. Each defect numbered, photographed and tracked to closeout in the next cycle's inspection.
NDT Reports
Hook MPI report, structural NDT findings, and wire-rope inspection records with technician credentials referenced — the technical evidence behind the certificate.
Photo Dossier
Time-stamped, GPS-tagged photographic record of the inspection — archived in the Veltrixair Industries PDPL-compliant digital store, accessible to the asset owner across the asset's life.
